The goals of Beach Stars Gymnastics are to develop a childÕs
fitness and athletic ability along with their self-esteem and
creativity. We are a
ÒrecreationalÓ gymnastics facility, focusing on the ÒfunÓ aspects of the
wonderful sport of gymnastics.
Through positive teaching techniques and encouragement, all of our
gymnasts are winners! We teach
them to believe in themselves, because WE believe in them. Everyday! We teach gymnastics progressively by breaking down skills
to small components which can be learned more easily. Then the small steps
are put together, and the total skill is accomplished! This method helps avoid frustration,
failure, and sometimes injury.
So even when a skill is difficult, the gymnast will not give up. The thrill of eventually learning
that skill has a huge impact on the studentÕs self-esteem. The preschool classes have a different theme every week, with fun
props and music (36 different themes!), including Outer Space week, Circus
Week, and Disney Week, to name just a few. We teach children the joy of movement while using their
imaginations, and that exercise can be fun and feels good; a lesson we hope
will last them a lifetime! Click

Gymnastics is the only sport that helps children with all other
sports! Besides being fun and
healthy, gymnastics also has the following benefits: PHYSICALLY -
They learn strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, agility, and
endurance. EMOTIONALLY
– It teaches them how to feel good about themselves and their
accomplishments. MENTALLY
– It teaches them how to concentrate, handle their fears and anxieties,
and develop positive attitudes towards new learning situations. SOCIALLY -
It teaches the children the importance of friendship and respect for others,
and how to work together as a group. |
